This 11,900 sq. ft. self-storage project by Schlosser Steel Buildings, Inc. for HD Indoor Storage included 24 12’x 14′ galvanized framed openings for doors and 13 partitions. Interior metal partition walls were used so the owner could separate tenant spaces up front but have the ability to move walls later as a tenant needed more or less space. Metal building construction was used to take advantage of the frame action due to doors being located in every bay. Due to the size and quantity of doors the jams and heads were filled with foam insulation and wrapped with metal trims to eliminate thermal shorts and air leaks into the storage spaces.
