Builder Awards

Put your best work in the spotlight. 

The Builder Awards are your chance to earn bragging rights and show off the craftsmanship, creativity and expertise that make your hard work worth remembering. Enter the projects that best represent how you’re pushing your market forward. 

Winning projects earn recognition and exposure across Star’s website, case studies, social media, advertising, literature and more. 

Any Star Authorized Builder may enter and you may submit as many eligible projects as you wish. 

Submissions open October 1 and close December 1, 2026. 

Entry Criteria

  1. The project must have been completed in 2026. 
  2. Each entry must include 3-5 high-quality (min 5MB), full-size photos. More photos are encouraged and give the judges a better
    understanding of your project.     
  3. All submitted photos must be high resolution and suitable for
    marketing use. Photos must be submitted at their original, full size and must not
    be cropped, resized, compressed or edited. AI-generated or
    AI-modified photos will not be accepted.     
  4. Photos must be free of logos, watermarks and other overlaid graphics. 
  5. Interior and exterior photos are strongly encouraged, including a
    variety of angles and views that showcase the building, its design, craftsmanship and Star products     
  6. The project must not have been previously entered in the Star Builder Awards or featured in Star-branded materials.

Photo Tips

Help your project stand out with photos that show the full scope of your work: 

• Photograph the building from multiple angles and sides. 

• Include both wide shots and closer views of notable details. 

• Avoid including people, vehicles or other distractions that take attention away from the building. 

• Capture the building in good natural light. Early morning or late afternoon can provide softer, more flattering light. 

• Set your camera or phone to its highest-quality setting. 

• Upload the original, full-size image files rather than screenshots or compressed versions. 

• Make sure photos clearly show the Star products and capabilities featured on the project. 

The more quality photos you provide, the more opportunities you give the judges to see what makes your project stand out. 

Judging & Prizes

Panel of Judges: A qualified panel of Star team members evaluates all entries based on established criteria. 

 

Judging Segments: 

  • Best of Category:
    Entries are reviewed within their respective project categories (e.g., Commercial, Industrial, Agricultural, etc.), and the most outstanding projects are selected as Best of Category winners.

 

  • Master Builder of the Year:
    The Best of Category winners are then evaluated together, and one overall project is chosen as the prestigious Master Builder of the Year.
    This streamlined process ensures fair recognition for excellence within specific categories and highlights one exceptional project as the
    overall winner.     

 

Prizes 

  • The Best of Category winners will receive a plaque of their winning project.
  • The Master Builder of the Year will receive a plaque and a custom
    LEGO model of their award-winning building


How To Enter

Submit your project using the online entry form. You’ll be asked to provide basic project information and upload your project photos. 

Each project requires its own entry form. You may enter as many
eligible projects as you wish. 

Before submitting, make sure you have: 

• A completed 2026 project 

• At least five high-quality, full-size photos 

• Original, unaltered and unedited photo files 

• Photos free of logos, watermarks and overlaid graphics 

• Interior and exterior photos when available 

• Permission to provide Star with the rights necessary to use the submitted photos 

Photo Usage & Permissions

By submitting photos, you confirm that you have the necessary rights and permissions to allow Star Building Systems to use the images for awards-related and marketing purposes, including on the Star
website, in case studies, social media, advertising, literature and other promotional materials. 

If professional photography was used, you are responsible for
ensuring that you have obtained the appropriate usage rights from the photographer before submitting the images. Photographer credits
may not be included in Star marketing materials.
